Qld: Woman and daughter stabbed

BRISBANE, Aug 26 AAP - An 11-year-old girl was in serious condition after being stabbed
in the chest on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane today. Her mother was also stabbed.

A spokesman for Queensland Ambulance Service said the girl was taken to Caboolture
Hospital shortly before 7am.

The girl's mother was knifed in the chest and wrists, the spokesman said.

Police were investigating the incident which happened in Bli Bli north of Brisbane.
