WA; Rail services halted again by union stop-work meeting

Train services on all Perth lines will grind to a halt today as Rail Tram and Bus Union
members stage their second stop-work meeting in as many weeks.

All services on metropolitan lines will be suspended from about 11 am (WST) as union
members meet to discuss the progress of Enterprise Bargaining Agreement negotiations with
the Public Transport Authority.

The union has not given any assurances that its members will be returning to work at
the conclusion of the meeting.

The Public Transport Authority says it tried to have the meeting postponed until Sunday
morning, when the impact on Perth's travelling public would be reduced.

Buses will run along rail routes for the duration of the stoppage.
